Kate‘s Version Looks more solemn though and it has a darker mood, which again fits not only the occasion but also the current era.
On the fashion ad the ensemble looks a little bit gimmic-y like something “Olivia” from “Poppy” would wear. However the lighting at the venue seemed to swallow a lot of the decorative details on the black fabric, which serves the overall look.
It’s a rather weird choice but surprisingly it looked alright on Kate.
