Welcome to a new week, we are popping in with some Bits and Bytes we hope you will enjoy.

We begin with items from the Duchess’s wardrobe for the 2011 North American Tour.  In many instances it was just the first of many appearances for apparel and accessory items we would be seeing again. If Kate did not bring back specific pieces worn on the tour, she certainly continued to patronize most designers and retailers whose merchandise she wore in Canada and California. But for an isolated group of items this isn’t what happened; there were a couple of pieces and designers we didn’t see following the tour.

The first in this group comes from the ensemble Kate wore when boarding the flight to Canada.

A fall tour of Canada for the Duke and Duchess was confirmed today by Canadian and British governments. The initial announcement came from Canada’s Governor General, David Johnston:

Once again, Sharon and I will be delighted to welcome Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Canada,” said His Excellency. “Their Royal Tour will take them to the beautiful province of British Columbia and the scenic territory of Yukon. Our true Canadian pride and spirit will shine and be at the very heart of this visit so they can feel at home.”

The couple first visited Canada in 2011, when they were newlyweds. Below, celebrating Canada Day during that trip.

We are back with a quick look at the new official photos of Kate.  In yesterday’s post we spoke about the new solo shot of the Duchess, something initially covered last Thursday. Then we saw another new official photo, this one of Kate and William together. That picture was shared on Twitter this morning by Paul Ratcliffe.
