It was Day Two at the Calgary Stampede, and Kate opted for another Temperley top, this one from Temperley London.

Appropriately, this is Temperley’s “Rodeo Shirt” in a silk/cotton blend that looked crisp and cool.

The shirt combines the best traits of a classic tuxedo shirt with western styling.

Temperley "Rodeo Shirt" at Net-a-Porter

As you can see, the piece is sheer, with a ruffled placket, extended cuffs, and pleating on the shoulders, it is £445.

From Net-a-Porter’s description:

“Cut from a gossamer silk and cotton-blend and trimmed with lace, Temperley’s ivory shirt will instantly soften every look. Wear it as a sophisticated contrast to love-worn jeans.”

The shirt remains available as of this writing (12:45 EDT) on the Net-a-Porter site.

The jeans are the same as those worn last night, be advised the British papers have reported them as being by by Gold Sign (and we tend to agree, click here for last night’s updated post) but some Canadian outlets said today they were J Brand.

The hats were from legendary Calgary hatmaker Smithbilt.

As far as jewelry goes, @RegalEyes tweeted that Kate was “wearing some turquoise drop earrings today that co-ordinated with the cowboy style buckle of her belt”.  Our thanks to him for that update, very helpful.

BTW, the shirt last night from Alice by Temperley was the “Armonia blouse.”

For those seeking info on the Los Angeles leg of the tour, here is a link to the British Embassy’s page. We will be back later with another post (or two) looking at what Kate changes into for today’s other engagements.  Here’s one more photo from this morning.

  1. Stood by Katherine and William at the start of the Stampede parade in Calgary and loved her Temperley “Rodeo Shirt” I located it last week in Las Vegas at Sake Fifth Avenue for 40 percent off. I love it to bits, but really glad I did not pay full price which was US $650.00.

  2. I saw Katherine wearing the Temperley “Rodeo Shirt” in Calgary and recently bought it on sale 40 percent off at Saks Fifth Avenue while at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love it, but glad I got it on sale as the original price was US $650.00.

  3. My sister made the earrings worn by Kate. She has supplies to make 10 – 15 more pairs of earrings similar to those worn by Kate, but does not have any more stones of the same shape and size. She is going to contact her stone supplier to see if she can get more stones of that size and shape, but doesn’t know if they are available.

  4. william may be wearing the same shirt but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t washed last night. no room in the luggage for the men’s clothes when any one is only interested in the women’s anyway! haha

  5. I was there this morning and I saw her! Only for like a second though because the motorcade sped by so fast..
Still, it was wonderful to know she was so close by. Thank you for following Kate’s fashions, this is a wonderful way to keep up with the Canadian Royal Tour!

  6. Any idea where the belt comes from? I love that large buckle.

  7. Any details regarding Kate’s earrings?

    • I made the earrings that the Duchess of Cambridge wore the day of the Calgary Stampede parade. They were a gift along with a 17″ necklace. I was thrilled to see her wear the earrings.

  8. they couldn’t have scraped up a different shirt for Wild Wills? Same jeans, fine. But, all in all they delighted Calgarians and it was a truly amazing way to start Stampede!!!

  9. Your posts, selection of photos, commentary, ‘analysis’ (and tweets!) are all so great – thank you.

As much as I don’t want to say *anything* negative about the phenomenal job these two young people are doing on this trip, I can’t help myself — the more I look at the photos and think about it (maybe I just need to get a life) — the more I just can’t believe William wore the SAME SHIRT today! Just – ewwwwww. I mean, after climbing up by the bulls last night, sitting at the Stampede, and so on – surely, surely, the Prince — or more appropriately, his minders, whom I really fault on this one – could have found another Western-style shirt?

Still, notwithstanding putting on that shirt again in the morning, I admire those two so very much.

    Cheers!

    • that’s an interesting question!!!! I guess the laudery service is working fast , or elsewhere the prince owns a series of identical shirts ….. that would make his luggage less volouminous that his wife …

  10. Gosh…Is William wearing the same shirt two days in a row?
Kate changed. Is there a subtle difference in that plaid?
    funny

  11. Fantastic post she looks stunning as usual.
Only a little while longer and I’ll see her in person at rotary challenger park can’t wait to see what she will wear hope I get to shake her hand.

Thanks again for updating us all such a fantastic site looking forward to seeing what shell be wearing next in person so excited!

I’m also excited to see the gowns Kate will wear in LA!

  12. I agree that William looks completely natural in the western garb. He wears the hat very well.

Also, I’m seeing possible solution for Catherine’s lovely, though sometimes uncontrollable, locks. The cowboy hat seems to keep them largely in place! It’s refreshing not to see her handing holding onto her hair, for once.

    I enjoy your site!

    • I’ve thought that Wills was sort of losing his looks over the last few years, but dang, that cowboy hat made him a solid “10″ again! He’s rocking that cowboy hat like nobody’s business.
