From The Telegraph:
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived at the Taj Mahal, where the Duke has said he wants to “create new memories” for the Royal family. But it will be the image of the couple at “Lady Di’s chair” that will define their visit.
And the wide shot.
One of the first photos in, William and Kate on the bench.
Kate is also wearing the earrings we showed you yesterday.
Kate has recreated the Diana photo.

Stringent security measures are in place at the Taj Mahal for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s visit to the monument on Saturday. The couple is expected to arrive at the iconic ‘monument of love’ late afternoon, at around 3:45 pm, and will fly to Delhi post dinner.
One of the biggest topics of discussion: will Kate and William sit on the bench where the famous photos of Princess Diana were taken? Back to the Hindustan Times:
Of the visits, Lady Diana’s visit remains most memorable, with her photograph sitting at a marble bench in front the Taj becoming iconic. Till date, the bench is called the Diana seat.
William and Kate will tour the famous building that has become a symbol of enduring love when they fly in from Bhutan.
Also from ITV, a bit of history:
The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the mid 17th century, a monument of love to his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years and 20,000 men to erect the building from white marble transported from 200 miles away by elephants. The bench princess Diana sat on is being kept cool with a towel. A Palace spokesperson has talked about William’s desire to visit the iconic structure:
‘He feels incredibly lucky to visit a place where his mother’s memory is kept alive by so many who travel there.
‘Twenty four years on from her visit to the Taj, The Duke and The Duchess are looking forward to seeing this beautiful place for themselves and creating some new memories as they say thank you to the people of India at the conclusion of this tour.’

India can be a very dusty place and I've wondered if the nude color shoe choices was about that. A dark shoe would start looking dusty after walking around a bit on different surfaces

I love the dress and William looks good too, unbuttoned. All and all, I have loved everything she has worn except some.of her jewelry choices. I really like this dress and hope we see it and the two gowns she wore in Bhutan again. I am sure we will see the blue Peckham again but would love to seen the other, bright colourful gowns again.

Great coverage of the tour! Such beautiful clothing and scenery. I would love to read a post detailing how things are organized when they travel like this. Are Kate's clothes later archived/stored? What do you think that her home closet looks like? (Suggestions for after you recover from this week! :) ). Thanks again!
