Updates, We Have Updates: Kate’s Red Shoes, Black Shoes & Jewelry

With a very brief lull in the activity we thought it a good idea to update a few things from a variety of posts.

We start with the outstanding issue of Kate’s red heels today: meet the Albini Square Cut Court Shoe as seen at Hobbs.

The shoe is leather with patent leather detailing at the heel, comes came in red or black and is was very reasonably priced; it is was on sale for £54.00, it was originally £135.00. Unfortunately it is already sold out online.

Thanks to Rose & Nikki on Facebook, blog commenters Nikki & Jessica, Perfect_Sinner, Ella KayChannii_Middie, TheDuchessStyle and Marina for their kind assistance with this one, with a special tip of the sartorial hat to Kate Middleton Style Blog.

Next, another shoe mystery may be solved, Catherine, Brittany others suggested that Kate’s espadrilles are by Pied a Terre.

Pied a Terre “Imperia”

We can’t definitively state these are the exact shoes we have seen the Duchess wear on multiple occasions, but if not, they are a *very* close facsimile.

Discussion continues about Kate’s jewelry, especially last night’s necklace.

We received many Facebook comments and emails suggesting the Duchess wore the Monica Vinader Mini Marie Luna Necklace.

We must thank our intrepid Facebook friend Misty: she went to the source and got in touch with the designer herself. Here is what Monica Vinader emailed Misty:

“Hi Misty. Though it looks very similar, unfortunately it’s not a Monica Vinader piece. We love your keen eye though! Thanks for your comment”

Clearly I have been out of the business too long, for Misty put this journalist to shame.  (Hangs head, wipes eyes.)

As far as last night’s earrings are concerned, a commenter named Tara made an excellent suggestion, asking if they might be designed by Claudia Bradby, with whom Kate used to work.

We looked at all of the Bradby earrings and didn’t see the pair from last night, but certainly enjoyed “oohing” and “ahhing” our way through the online store!

Before wrapping up I must share that we really are fortunate, we have the world’s best Facebook Community, what a splendid group of fashion watchers, they are more than generous in sharing ideas and information. The same can be said for our Twitter pals as well and our commenters, all of you make this so much more fun than it would otherwise be, thank you.  🙂

The gold earrings look like the gold leaf ones Diana once wore (dianasjewels.com)

These are pretty close to the slingback wedges she wore in Canada since the actual ones are sold out http://www.amazon.com/Madison-Harding-Bird-Slingback-Espadrille/dp/B004H14T9G/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_3

Following up, I ordered these shoes by Madison Harding and they are a pretty darn close match to the Imperia slingback wedges the Duchess actually wore. Only down side to mine is a very chemically odor that I'm hoping I can air out.

Hi there! The espidrilles that Kate wore are actually LK Bennett and if I'm not mistaken they are called Miranda. I know that you can order them online as they are re releasing them as the Catherine in July!

i'm fairly certain the earrings are from the 'lotus' range of gold-plated silver jewellery by dinny hall, based right here in west london. if i can figure out how to post a link, i'll update.
