Once again demonstrating her fashion and diplomacy skills, the Duchess selected a sleek green dress by Diane von Furstenberg for last night’s social scene at a reception welcoming the couple to Los Angeles.
The Duchess is wearing DVF’s Maja dress in 100% silk.
As described on the DVF site:
“The flowy and graceful Maja dress is perfect for work or play. Notable is the back – with its sensual deep V-neck and line of flat, gold-brushed buttons.”
The green was a nice spot of color. The dress is a familiar silhouette for Kate, we have seen similar lines on several dresses worn previously, including the current tour. The dress remains available online at DVF at $398, as well as other retailers.
The Duchess’s handbag was also by DVF. It looks like she carried the label’s Leopard-print Snakeskin Clutch.
The bag was (note past tense) available at Net-a-Porter but it is sold out. Here is how it is described:
Clutch has a detachable gold chain shoulder strap, a gold branch clasp fastening at top, an internal pouch pocket, a designer plaque at interior and is fully lined in satin. Designer color: Popcarn Black & Blush
We also noted the return of that link bracelet believed to be a gift from Camilla, the one with the charm jewelry wiz Ayvee discovered.
Identifying Kate’s shoes remains a challenge. Many comments have been left suggesting these are the Rupert Sanderson shoes worn in Charlottetown on PEI; unfortunately Rupert Sanderson verified it is not their shoe.
For those keeping score, this is the second day on the tour Kate has worn four different ensembles, the other being July 4. Special thanks to WKW Facebook friends Cari and Misty for their skills in rapidly locating the dress and the bag, these ladies know their fashion!
