Happy holiday weekend to everyone. Today we share some of the post-Christmas bargains at retailers Kate favors.
We begin with styles on sale at Temperley London, including a piece Kate has worn, the brand’s Lotus Leopard Print Scarf. The Duchess wore this when at the Brisbane airport last September as she and William changed planes following their Jubilee Tour. The scarf was originally priced at $385, it is now selling for $235.
There are many apparel options as well at Temperley: below left, the silk georgette Embellished Ribbon Dress (selling now at $2935, from $4890) and the Long Crystal Stud Dress (originally $2695, on sale at $1620). Below right we show items from the ALICE by Temperley line: the Solitaire Dress in both the longer cut (originally $570, now $345) and short version (now $240 from $395).
A complete change of direction now for a reminder that this can be an opportune time to grab a Barbour jacket. Our friends in the UK will appreciate the savings at Philip Morris & Son. I wanted to mention them because they carry a number of brands that Kate wears, and they have always been very helpful. Below we show several Barbour jackets they have on sale; on the left you see the women’s Sapey (now £139 from £199); in the center we show the men’s quilted Redale (not all that dissimilar from the quilted jacket seen on William when he and Kate were walking on the beach in Anglesey), it is now £119, originally selling at £179; on the far right, the Barbour Utility Jacket (marked down to £159 from £229).
Philip Morris also stocks Kate’s Le Chameau Vierzonord boots, although they are not on sale. US shoppers will find Barbour available at Orvis; unfortunately, none of the coats appear to be on sale.
Next, Alexander McQueen. There is a sizable amount of discounted merchandise on the brand’s own website, as well as at other retailers. At Neiman Marcus some Alexander McQueen items are as much as 50% off, pricing is similar for the brand’s diffusion line, McQ. Below, a variety of pieces currently on sale.
At Nordstrom, there are ample opportunities to save on designer goods. One of the better deals for Kate fans could be the Cole-Haan Air Cara boot, this is the copyKate suggested for the Bally ‘Thrall’ boots.
The Air Cara is on sale for $248.98, that is 50% off the boot’s original price of $498. (Many thanks to Jennifer for her tip on the Air Cara and Rachel for discovering just who made Kate’s boots!) We’ll share more of the relevant offers at Nordstrom in our next post.
The Reiss sale offers a number of items, including Kate’s Delaney jacket, but only in the navy blue color. It is reduced in price from $555 to $366.
There are plenty of structured frocks at Reiss, the discount varies by style. A quick sampling (left to right): the Garbo Black Tailored Pinstripe Dress was $360 and is now discounted to $245, the wool and mohair Abbi Fay Navy Tailored Dress is now $245 from $360, the red Angel Fitted Panel Dress is on sale for $219 from $345, and the Ainsley Black Lace Bow Back Dress is $227 from $285.
At top is available for $89.99, it is a final sale item. UPDATED: With enormous thanks to Hannah who left a comment sharing word that the blouse is an additional 50% off with the code W13SALE, the price she paid for it was just $44.99!
Whistles sale offerings are sizable, discounts seem to range from 20% to 50% or more. At Amanda Wakeley, the sale offers 30% and more on a broad selection of merchandise. The Jenny Packham sale prices reflect reductions of 30% or more; this includes a very few of the designer’s elegant evening bags. If interested in a parade of lovely eye candy, Ms. Packham’s s/s 2014 Bridal runway show is now available to view.
At Anya Hindmarch there are also discounts, but not on any of Kate’s actual bags. While specific colors/materials may have been retired, options remain for pieces in different colors, finishes etc. For example, Kate’s Marano bag is available in a variety of colors and designs (many on sale).
When researching this post I discovered something I hadn’t fully realized: the Maud clutch Kate carries was also a favorite of Princess Diana. Nor did I know how fully customizable the bag is, with options for the type of clasp you would like to what can be inscribed on the interior. The bag isn’t on sale, nor is it inexpensive at £450 (about $725 or so), but if looking for an investment piece, this certainly allows a variety of ways to customize your bag.
Really a lovely variety of ways to make a bag very much your own.

Hello all! I was so excited to descover this site! I am a long time Catherine-ite and I had been lamenting the lack of imformation about Her Highness' fashion choices! Thanks for your work! PS As to the Black Watch coat I think that the Duchess chose wisely. Fashion comes and goes--the monarchy stays. Her grandaughter could wear that coat decades from now! That's what signature style is all about--longevity. That's something I wouldn't see her give up for any amount of experimenting! :)

I took a look at the Jenny Packam bridal film and I loved all (most) of the dresses. I especially loved the tea-length ones. All of the dresses looked so 1920s, delicate and very girly, and I love that most of them were not strapless. Thanks for the link to the shows.

That Maud clutch is just gorgeous!! So pretty and chic. I would love it in the Tiffany blue with my initials on it. Alas, I have nowhere to carry it to and, even if I did, I can't afford it. I'll put it on my wish list for when I win big at the casino!!!
Also love the scarf. The colors are wonderful and it looks large enough to keep you warm on a plane.

You mean the one she wore on Christmas day? It's discussed in the previous post on her Christmas appearances.
It's a new hat, a "hard shell beret with a large bow," by Gina Foster, who also designed the hat worn by the Duchess to the wedding of Zara Phillips.
