The Duke and Duchess were a little more bundled up when we saw them arriving at Whitehorse, Yukon this evening.
It was just after 6pm PDT when they landed, and the temperature was 6℃, about 42℉. That was quite a change from the warm and sunny skies seen during the day’s earlier engagements in Kelowna.
They were greeted at the airport by Governor General David Johnston and Sharon Johnston.
Also on hand to meet them, Reem Arafat, in the pink coat; she is a Syrian refugee who recently moved to Yukon. On Reem’s left is Olympian Macey Hangartner, a Special Olympian; the two girls presented Kate with her flowers.
There was also a Canadian Rangers honor guard, as well as members of the Junior Canadian Rangers (William & Harry were made honorary members of the Rangers reserve unit in 2009).
The Duke and Duchess left the airport and headed to the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre, where they were welcomed by Chief Bill and Chief Kane. The royals were at the Centre to watch a performance of a “Land of Gold – A Yukon Cultural Celebration,” celebrating Yukon’s cultural scene.

After the show, they spent time with performers.
For the chillier temps Kate was in a coat we first saw on St. Patrick’s Day 2014.
The Hobbs ‘Persephone’ is a rayon/wool blend, with all of the classic trench elements: epaulets, storm flaps, and double-breasted styling.
Kate carried a scarf in Maple Leaf tartan.
The Maple leaf tartan was designed in 1964. More about the design from the Register of Tartans:
The colours of the maple leaf through the changing seasons became the basis for this asymmetric tartan designed by David Weiser in 1964. Known officially as the Maple Leaf tartan, the pattern incorporates the green of the leaves’ summer foliage, the gold which appears in early autumn, the red which appears with the coming of the first frost, and the brown tones of the fallen leaves.
With the thanks to the savvy folks at Kate Middleton Style, the scarf/shawl is by York Scarves. The piece measures 31″ x 71″ (about 180cm x 80cm) and it is 100% cotton. It is available from Amazon UK (£12.99).
The Duchess stuck with her Fern pumps in the ‘trench’ colorway from LK Bennett.
She also carried her LK Bennett Nina clutch.
Kate wore her Cartier Ballon Bleu wristwatch and also had on new earrings seen earlier in the day, the ‘Siren’ style from Monica Vinader.
A look at Kate’s hair, it was partially pulled back.
Kate and William are spending the night in Whitehorse. We’ll see you tomorrow for Day 5 of the tour!

That tartan scarf is oh so perfect for this coat (...looks like they coordinated the colours of the bouquet too before her arrival)

oh no! Not the hair clips! I don't care for this look on anyone. And I think those shoes are too light - at first glance in the first photo, they look white. NOT a good look.

School girl hair clips. These should never be worn if over the age of 12. Totally BORING look. I am trying to post a comment on this topic for the third time. All of which were ignored . Hopefully this is more to your liking.

No to the shoes, bag and hair clips. She should have worn the burgundy shoes from the next day with this coat - would have been perfect. Beautiful scarf.
