Your Favorite Caribbean Tour Evening Gown

Hello and greetings to all marking Easter and Passover. 

I am back with a few quick updates and then the poll for your favorite evening gown worn during the Caribbean Tour. First, the latest on the royals and Holy Week. Today, the Prince of Wales handled the Queen’s Maundy Thursday duties.

The Prince of Wales distributed Maundy money to community stalwarts from across the country as he represented the Queen at the ancient ritual for the first time.

Charles followed the tradition of presenting Maundy coins to those who have provided Christian service to the elderly, worked tirelessly during the pandemic or been a comfort to those in need, during the service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

During the service, Charles handed out the Maundy coins to 96 men and 96 women – as the Queen will be 96 this year, celebrating her birthday on April 21.

Below, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall outside St. George’s today.

Buckingham Palace announced HM would not be attending the Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel. Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall are also not expected to attend the Easter Mattins service, so we may see the Cambridges. If we learn anything more, I will update the post. 

Now for our look at the Duchess’s three evening ensembles from the Caribbean Tour. The first formal look we saw was during the Belize leg of the trip, on March 22, when the Duchess wore a dress by The Vampire’s Wife. 

The dress was crafted of a ruby lamé fabric with a round neckline, flutter sleeves, concealed back zipper, and a flared sweeping hemline.  The Duchess accessorized with a Maya embroidered handbag, her Mimi Sandals by Jimmy Choo, and O’Nitaa earrings. 

While in Jamaica, on March 24, the Duke and Duchess attended a black-tie dinner hosted by the Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen. The Duchess wore a deep green off-the-shoulder gown by Jenny Packham. 

The design showcases an oversized tulle ruffle at the neckline, a fitted bodice, a full, sweeping skirt, and an invisible back zipper. She also wore her Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II, Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, and her green velvet Manolo Blahnik BB pumps. Her jewelry that evening was emerald and diamond pieces from the Queen’s Emerald Tassel Parure.

The third formal look came on March 25, when the Duke and Duchess attended a black-tie reception in the Bahamas. 

She accessorized with jewelry by Van Cleef and Arpels, the brand’s Magic Alhambra Necklace with Six Motifs, and Magic Alhambra Earrings. She carried the blue satin Hayworth Bag by Lulu Guinness and the Rania 105 Embellished Pumps by Gianvito Rossi.
