The Princess of Wales chose Roland Mouret separates today as she joined the Prince of Wales at an audience for Jordan’s Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein.
Many readers will remember that the Prince and Princess of Wales attended the Jordanian couple’s wedding in June 2023.
Another view of the receiving line.
The Crown Prince and Princess welcomed a baby girl, Iman, in August of last year. Here you see the family in a photo posted on Instagram by the Crown Prince on New Year’s Eve 2024.
The two Princes also visited RAF Benson in South Oxfordshire today, less than an hour northeast of Windsor.
The audience was at Windsor Castle.
Here you have another angle.
Yesterday, Princess Rajwa joined another royal family member, Princess Eugenie, for engagements showcasing ways artwork is integrated into mental health wards at hospitals in London.
We learn more from this Town and Country story.
Princess Rajwa of Jordan marked a significant milestone in her role as a future queen with her first official visit to the United Kingdom, joining Princess Eugenie for a joint engagement in London on Monday. Rajwa visited Springfield University Hospital at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS trust with Eugenie.
“We viewed a number of artworks created as part of an initiative by the charity Hospital Rooms, which integrates art into mental health care environments,” Eugenie wrote on Instagram. “Their mission is to commission leading international artists to produce permanent, high-quality works for mental health wards across the UK’s National Health Service, helping create welcoming and uplifting spaces for patients.”
Returning to today’s engagement, we present one more image of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa as they departed Windsor Castle, a screengrab from a Kensington Palace video.
And here is the Palace video.

For those curious about Princess Rajwa’s look today, it is an Alexander McQueen jumpsuit worn over an Alaïa shirt.
Now, for our look at what Kate wore.
She chose Roland Mouret separates, first worn in September 2023 for an engagement in London, shown below left. Below right, the Princess wearing the maroon version of the blazer and trousers in Boston in 2022, and at a 2023 reception at Hampton Court Palace.
The Cady Blazer is paired with matching trousers, both in a custom sand or tan color. Here you see the maroon blazer and trousers, in an acetate/polyester blend, with slanted flap pockets on the jacket, a side zipper and vertical pockets on the trousers.
There are multiple suggestions that the tie-neck blouse is a Burberry design, but I would need to see more of it to determine whether that is the case.
The Princess wore her Ralph Lauren Celia Pumps ($750) in calfskin with a 4″heel.
And her Cassandra Goad Temple of Heaven Earrings ($5201) in yellow gold.

I like Catherine's repeat wearing here, especially the Lauren pumps. I'd like to see more of the red shoes Rajwa is wearing. The Prince and Princess have had a busy few days lately.

Ugh, another boring color. I’m not a fan of her in beige any more than I’m a fan of her in baby poop olive/mustard. I don’t think it flatters her at all. I’d have much preferred the burgundy coloration. Perhaps a colorful blouse would have helped, the cream blouse doesn’t help lift this color at all. It seems rather flat. And what is with these pant lengths?? I just don’t get it. I was taught you don’t want your pant covering the whole shoe, it looks odd. It definitely does look odd, like she has no feet. I find I’m very disappointed in this look, perhaps because it follows the other dismal suit from a few days ago so soon. I did like the dress Princess Rajwa wore to the hospital. That was a very nice look. I didn’t like the black and white look she wore. I’ve never been a fan of the white blouse stitched to a black strapless top. New fashion? I’ve seen this look come around about every 10 years or so for the last 40 years. I still don’t like it.

I don t mind the pants suit (Princess Rajwa is wearing slacks) but those trousers. 😩 They’re too wide and nearly dragging the ground, and she’s wearing 4” heels! But the blouse is pretty as is her hair, but I absolutely hate this style of pants.

Catherine's outfit is soft and pretty, but I think it needs more to distinguish it and give it some flair. The neutral color is OK (I don't care for beige, tbh, but Catherine likes it, which is what counts).
However, the material, itself, has a flat look. Beige could be Glorious if the jacket and trousers were of softest velvet! Or, keep the material of the suit as is, but have some silky material (in a slightly darker beige) for the jacket's collar and pocket flaps. Or, beaded or sparkly material for those areas. Something to give some Oomph to this look, while keeping the soft, romantic vibe, too.
I Do like just about any blouse Catherine wears that has a bow. I'm so glad she didn't wear a plain blouse, because it would be way too much "blah," in a look that really needs a dynamic element added in.
(As I'm writing all this, I'm also having a flashback to the time when Catherine received So Much Criticism for a vibrant and dramatic red outfit she wore to meet the First Lady of South Korea. And Now, I'm wondering if her beige outfit could Possibly be about Catherine trying to Not upstage her Roysl visitor??? If so, she went too far, imo, in the demure direction - but also, So much pressure must be on her to get each and every outfit exactly right, a daunting prospect and quite impossible to do, at least in terms of pleasing Everyone).
Personally I LOVED the outfit she wore back in November 2023, an outfit that apparently made the internet quite indignant about Catherine being too showy, thus: upstaging her guest:

Well, needless to say, I could be wrong about all of this! It's just my theory.
As to Catherine, and What She Wore, for This engagement, at least she refrained from wearing a very odd outfit, such as the one her Royal Guest, Princess Rajwa, wore.
While Princess Rajwa looks quite elegant in her white and black, with a touch of bright red (a Great color combo!), the top part of her outfit makes me think of a black, strapless evening gown oddly connected to a white, long sleeved blouse. I don't care for this, at all. It may be the height of sophistication, but it just doesn't work.
Fortunately, Princess Rajwa is young and beautiful, so it matters not that her outfit is a bit silly. (Add in the black bag that looks like what a doctor of the 1800s Wild West might carry, and I feel even more convinced that Catherine made a better choice in her own sartorial decisions, even if the burgundy version with pale pink blouse is much prettier).

@Zell, I didn't even notice the red shoes until reading your comment and looking back. Love that color combo. I suppose long hemlines are fashionable right now, but they hide the shoes! I agree that Princess Rajwa is very young and may feel a bit more zingy with her outfit choices, but it really is somewhat strange with the puffy blouse and fitted black jumpsuit!

I really like the Roland Mouret tan suit, except for the length of the trousers. I don't understand why they are not hemmed just an inch or two shorter. I liked the blouse the princess first wore with the suit in 2023, but I do not like the bow ties on today's blouse and other blouses the princess has worn lately. I think they are terribly old fashioned and they age her.
