Kate made a solid sartorial choice tonight, opting to recycle a piece worn in Los Angeles, rather than risk upstaging bride Zara Phillips at a party celebrating tomorrow’s nuptials. Ms. Phillips is marrying longtime love, Mike Tindall, tomorrow.
The Duchess wore the Diane von Furstenburg Maja dress in green silk again, and her decision to remain low key keeps the attention where it should be, on Zara. In this photo, you get a peek at the back of the garment. It seems all of the young royals were at tonight’s cocktail reception, held aboard the Britannia.
For those interested in the dress, it remains available in almost every size on the DVF site, selling at $398.
It looks like Kate also opted to bring out her Anya Hindmarch Maud clutch again.
Here are two other occasions where Kate has carried the bespoke bag.
I think Kate may have also brought out her black pumps again, as well as her “Temple of Heaven” gold girandole earrings.
They are by designer Cassandra Goad, currently selling online at £1,100, roughly $1750.
