We are back with brief news on how Kate is said to be faring along with some product updates.
There are multiple reports that Kate will visit New York this fall. From an initial story in the Daily Mirror:
The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are planning an official trip to New York – which will mark her comeback from acute morning sickness.
Kate is now planning a show-stopping visit to the Big Apple at either the end of November or the beginning of December and will stay in the world famous city for several days.
A royal source revealed: “This trip is in the early planning phase but it’s a clear sign that she is on the mend. However, if there is any suggestion that the duchess isn’t well, it will be cancelled immediately.”
Prince William is planning to make an official visit to New York in the coming months, PEOPLE has learned. The trip, set for later in the fall, may even see him bringing wife Kate with him. Although she has not been part of the original plans, it’s believed that the palace isn’t ruling out anything where she is concerned.A “open mind” is being kept as to whether she will also travel, a royal source says.
It will be interesting to see how any/all of the above shakes out.
Obviously any travel plans would be contingent upon the Duchess’s health, as she continues to cope with the return of hyperemesis gravidarum, the illness she encountered when expecting Prince George. She was slated to visit Sir Ben Ainslie’s Americas Cup center next Monday but has been forced to cancel that engagement. More from Richard Palmer’s story in The Express:
…aides have cancelled plans for her to to go to Sir Ben’s new £12 million headquarters in the Camber Dock at Old Portsmouth, where he intends to employ 90 people initially and eventually hopes to create up to 1,000 jobs by building British yachts capable of challenging for sport’s oldest trophy.
The Duchess, a keen sailor in her youth, will be disappointed not to wave the flag for four-times Olympic gold medallist Sir Ben’s new racing headquarters.
Below, Kate at the Maritime Center in June for an event launching the America’s Cup bid by Sir Ben.
Last week the Duchess was scheduled to open a new Art Room program at Barlby Primary School in London; she also had to cancel her participation in that event. From Kate’s message expressing her regret at not being able to take part in the day’s events:
I was looking forward to joining you all for this particularly special day as part of The Clore Duffield Foundation’s 50th Anniversary year.
I am truly sorry that I cannot be with you all today as you celebrate this milestone.
Here you see Kate in February at the opening of the ICAP Art Room at Northolt School, with thanks to The Telegraph’s Gordon Rayner for the photo.
By the way, those who enjoy Instagram might want to consider following the Art Room’s new account.
The engagements have not been publicly announced because off Kate’s illness.
Simon Perry also reported this week that Kate is staying with her parents at their Bucklebury home.

Moving now to fashion news, Alice Temperley’s exclusive collection for The Outnet launched yesterday.
The collection showcases 21 pieces designed by Alice Temperley for the luxury label discounter, sister site to Net-a-Porter. Below, the Jayla Embellished Tulle dress.
There is also a Jayla top as well as a short version of the Jayla dress.
The collection offers several sensational knit pieces: below, a shawl collar wool cardigan.
You can see the similarities between styles for The Outnet and Temperley London. Below left and center you see the Textured Wool Turtleneck classic Alice Temperley designed for The Outnet, on the right we show the classic Honeycomb Tunic at Temperley London, a staple for the brand. Kate has been seen wearing a black Honeycomb sweater when in Switzerland, as well as the ivory or almond color in Decmber 2011.
Other dresses in the limited edition collection: the Bacall Pleated Chiffon Dress in a sunny yellow stripe, Marlene Printed Cotton Dress and the Giraffe-Print Stretch Crepe dress.
Separates include a Lace-Trimmed Wool Blazer, a metallic leather Biker Jacket, and the Louise Cotton Shirt with a wonderful bow at the neck (that is almost impossible to see in the photo).
You can see the entire collection here.
If interested in bargains on styles from the regular Temperley London line at the Outnet, there is a good selection of pieces. We show the Embellished Tulle-Panel Crepe Gown (originally $2720, marked down by 70% to $816), the Freesia Two-Tone Sateen Dress (52% off, now $650), and a Black Cashmere Sweater that’s a great basic piece (discounted by 70%, from $595 to $178).
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Lela Rose Circle-Lace Peplum Dress worn by Kate in Canberra is back in stock at Bergdorf Goodman, and also at Shopbop and at Neiman Marcus. It is $1595 at all three stores, and all seem to have a broad selection of sizes.
Many Kate fashion followers know that items she has worn can often be found at House of Fraser. We have great news for US shoppers: the retailer is offering free shipping to the US starting today and running through this Sunday, the 12th.
A few examples of current season merchandise at House of Fraser from brands Kate wears: below left we show the Hobbs Martha Jacket (a good repliKate for the Zara ‘Blazer with Zips’), Kate’s much-loved Sledge heels from LK Bennett and Mint Velvet Bibi Plimsoll (sneaker) are in the center, with the Hobbs Luanne dress on the right.
House of Fraser also carries Tara Jarmon, Ted Baker, Hudson denim, Pied a Terre (they have the Imperia Espadrille here), Barbour, Jaeger and many other brands the Duchess has worn.
Arguably today’s final item should have been up with the other Temperley content, as it involves the brand’s Odele coat, a piece Kate has worn several times.
It appears the Odele is no longer available on the Temperley site. When looking at the company’s other outerwear the Mila Sheepskin Coat caught our eye, it is seen below left. The Mila strongly resembles the Odele, shown below right.
A quick note: French Sole has loads of styles on sale, many of them 50% off. None in the specific style/color that Kate has worn, but some outstanding bargains nonetheless.
We leave you with a little something that prompted quite the giggles here in the Corner Condo at WKW InterGalactic Headquarters.
It turns out WKW was a question on the Who Wants to be a Millionaire game show. We had no idea until a friend told us about it, we haven’t seen the show so we don’t know if the contestant had the correct answer or not. At any rate, it was a fun interlude in the day. Many thanks to everyone who has sent notes and tweeted, posted on Facebook, etc.! (Offered with a plea for indulgence from those who may have already seen this on the WKW Facebook page.)

Well, going to New York for a couple of days isn't like she would be out of touch in the Outback or the Sahara. I mean, we do have hospitals. If she does go I imagine she would be accompanied by one of her doctors. But, truthfully, while we in the US would be thrilled to have both Kate and William, I doubt she will accompany him. It just wouldn't make sense. Nice to hear she is staying with her parents. I can't think of a better cure than a snuggle or two from Mom.

As I said, New York offers top-quality medical care, but her doctors do have other patients. They're not dedicated solely to looking after her. She couldn't ask that they accompany her to New York. I suspect even her hairdresser's other clients haven't been thrilled when she's taken that person along on her trips. Imagine how her doctor's other patients might feel if he tripped off to New York with the Duchess, especially if they were close to term!

Great post! I absolutely love the Temperley pieces and can envision the Duchess in a number of the looks.

I’m afraid I simply can’t help it – Temperley just doesn’t arrive with me, not that that stops me talking about her! She seems to affect some sort of quasi-Gothic look, and surely so much black can only end by looking funereal, especially in full-length lace. A heavy use of embellishment comes across as too fussy and cluttered for my own taste. Evidently my own style aesthetic yearns for the sleek and classic.
Sadly the shawl collar cardigan just shrieks 70’s grunge to me -- Starsky and Hutch anyone? I will just concede a good word for the Marlene cotton print which strikes me as quite pretty and I can see the adventurous having some fun with that metallic biker jacket. I’m afraid the styles that most appeal to me are the bargains you’ve picked out! The fuschia two-tone looks a dead set for a royal outing.
I’m so sorry Kate’s struggle continues, it’s misery indeed to be trapped by a condition which can only be managed not cured. I only hope it will pass as soon as possible and am glad at least that she’s getting plenty of quality TLC. Thanks for a lovely post.

PS I have no problem with Facebook migrations and this one's a peach. World fame via Who Wants To Be a Millionaire -- who'd have thought it? Many congratulations Susan!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both Kate and Wills to pop up in the Big Apple... you know it would be cold, so that means multiple coat sightings (hopefully 1 or 2 new ones in addition to the repeats!). Though I'm not too hopeful. Like Lili said, I find it likely the Duchess will not want to travel on such a lengthy trip during her pregnancy.
Oh, Temperley. I find their styles are so hit and miss for me. I do not like the Jayla dress at all (it looks like plants are growing on the model!), the lace trimmed wool blazer looks far too twee for an adult woman, and the gold metallic blazer positively has me cringing. I'm more drawn to their knits. The Honeycomb sweater has me drooling as usual, and I rather like the shawl collar cardigan (dowdy it may be, but it looks soo comfortable).
