With just a bit of trepidation about posting on a topic that isn’t Kate fashion-related, I thought most readers would enjoy seeing the new pictures of Prince George that were released this evening.
The pictures were actually taken by Prince Harry’s private secretary, Edward Lane-Fox. More from Camilla Tominey’s story in The Express:
Taken a few weeks ago on stone steps in a courtyard at Kensington Palace, where William and Kate live in Princess Margaret’s former apartment, they show the 16-month-old to be full of personality.
An aide said: “The Duke and Duchess chose the pictures and they were taken by a member of household staff with the intention of releasing them prior to Christmas.
The young Prince does not appear camera shy.

Prince George has the kind of smile that can get round any parent – even if he’d done something to land him on the naughty step.
Prior to today’s images, the most recent photos released by the Palace date to July.
Many have noted George’s resemblance to his father when Prince William was just 14 months old, seen in this photo taken December 14, 1983. (Precisely 31 years ago today!)
Historically, William and Kate have not released a Christmas card photograph, which I thought these pictures might be. But it turned out it isn’t a family photo, rather, several of the third in line to the throne looking like a little imp.

I think this precious little lad looks just like Michael Middleton. Diana would be so proud of this angel boy. It also looks like he has (thankfully) inherited the spencer gene and will be a very tall, strapping man one day!

So glad you posted these! What a cutie-patootie! I agree with a lot of the other comments - Kate's green eyes opened up a whole new world of genetic possibilities! I love the side by side with William too!
I think the only thing better than sending out these pictures would be if Wills and Kate had been on the Kiss Cam when they were here in the US last week! :)

Nice smart outfit our Prince George is wearing. Cute little fella - but to me all babies are cute. He has got his aunt Pippa Middleton's eyes. The rest of his face has got the Windsor stamp!
