A Picture Perfect Princess: New Photos of Charlotte Released

Many a royal fan awoke to a lovely surprise this morning (in the USA), new photos of Princess Charlotte.

The images were taken by Charlotte’s mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.  Apparently Kate didn’t take the photos with any intention of releasing them publicly, but they turned out so well the family decided to go ahead and share them with the public. More from Kensington Palace:

The Duchess took these pictures herself and loved them so much she wanted to share them with the public and hopes everyone enjoys them as much as she does.

In the second photo of Charlotte you can just about see the emergence of a little imp.

The photos were taken at Anmer Hall, the Cambridge’s country home, in a setting similar to that seen in the photos Kate took of George and Charlotte together.

While these are not pictures of Kate, or anything she has worn, the interest level in Charlotte is so high that I thought a very quick post was merited; hopefully no one will be too disappointed in that decision. For a much more detailed look at the photos and what Princess Charlotte was wearing, enjoy today’s post at our sister site, What Kate’s Kids Wore.

UPDATED: A reader named Nancy is kind enough to suggest that the fabric on the chair Charlotte is sitting on is Brunschwig & Fils Tresors de Jouy Carsten Check in French Blue. She adds that the material “sells for a budget busting price of over $300 a yard. Ebay has it for half the price, but you would need to buy ten yards.” Here is a look at that material.

She is darling! I see quite a bit of Kate in her already but you can see her father in there as well. She is going to be a spry girl.

I'm going to be SO honest-- when I saw these my first thoughts were: that chair, that chair, that chair! It's gorgeous and probably so expensive. (yes Charlotte is adorable and a peach and all that too :)

I have to admit that that's where my head went too.

Love the pics, and love that you posted them! You're right, Kate probably does have more of a voice when it comes to what the kiddos are wearing, so we do see some of Kate in this!

Everyone is right - she looks just like her Granny! But I see Carole and Kate when she smiles. Looking forward to seeing how beautiful she will be when she grows up!

I'm so glad you posted these beautiful sweet pictures; I can't get enough of them!! Love that Kate took these, and the natural setting where little Charlotte is so obviously at ease. And, um... okay fine, I'll admit I also spent a few moments checking out the interior design of the room (or, what you could see of it). Love the fabric of the chair and the pretty bench in the background ;)

I believe the simple, blue and cream, one inch, checked fabric on the wing chair is Brunschwig & Fils Tresors de Jouy Carsten Check in French Blue which sells for a budget busting price of over $300 a yard. Ebay has it for half the price, but you would need to buy ten yards.

Baby Charlotte grows cuter and more adorable by the minute. I think she looks like a Middleton except for the Windsor nostrils.
