ROYAL WEDDING WHAT KATE WORE LIVE BLOG

Welcome to our live blog of Harry and Meghan’s wedding!

Charlotte and the other bridesmaids are wearing dresses by Clare Waight Keller, who designed Meghan’s dress.

Below we see the Duchess and Princess Charlotte outside of St. George’s Chapel –

We have an update that the Duchess’ coat may actually be the Alexander McQueen worn at Charlotte’s christening in cream. We are awaiting further images to confirm.

Meghan and her mother are on their way to the chapel. Meghan may be wearing a tiara which was once belonging to Queen Mary.

We are live here – 6:17am EST, just minutes away from seeing Meghan and the Royal Family is now beginning to arrive.

We’re all eager to see Kate, along with Charlotte and George. As soon as we have photos we will share. In the meantime, a look at the goings-on in Windsor.

Here is this Canadian and avid fan of this blog's view... The Duchess dressed perfect for the occasion. The coatdress whether a repeat or new was appropriate as she was not the centre of attention and wonderfully tailored. The piece-de-ristance was the hat. The Bride....wow! This dress is understated elegance at it's best The Bride's Mother - the dress was very pretty and she optimized grace, love and strength. The Queen - wonderful and up beat. the bright colours suit her. Camilla - loved her hat! She can carry off the large brimmed hats with ease. Countess of Wessex - she looked spectacular! bravo! Fergie - the revenge dress! beautiful tailoring, she looked amazing Eugenie - while classy, too understated in my opinion - this isn't a business meeting Beatrice - I have a feeling this was a very expensive ensemble, but a no in my opinion. Zara - too dark and heavy for a spring wedding. Killer shoes in the last tri-mester! kudos! The kids - adorable! especially Princess Charlotte! The guests - best dressed go to Amal Clooney and David Bekham for the men. The Middleton's - impeccably dressed as always, Pippa was particularly pretty IMO Meghan's friend's - talk about glam squad! The images Instagram was built on!

oh yeah...the Princes...Harry and William looked every bit the part of a handsome Prince. Charles was quite dapper. And the fact the Duke is able to attend!

I do wish Kate had bestirred herself to dredge up a new dress for this very important occasion, or at the very least something which wasn't so close to white. Surely she has a pale blue somewhere in her closet, which would have looked lovely sitting next to the Duchess of Cornwall's peachy pink. I did LOVE Kate's hat though. Spectacular.

It's clear by now that Charlotte is going to be the superstar of the next generation. She's adorable and her big personality is already on view.

As an American, I couldn't have been prouder of Meghan and her mother. They conducted themselves with flawless grace and poise, and they were simply beautiful. Take good care of her, UK!

And speaking of generations, it hit me on Saturday that this was the last major wedding for probably 25 years. George or Charlotte will be next up, and these people don't marry young. No one does a royal wedding better than the British, and I will miss this.

Goodness, I did not think of this in the context of it being the last major wedding for a long time, but you're absolutely right. We'll have others, like Eugenie's, but in terms of the really big do, it will be a good long time. :(

Kate looked beautiful in her outfit, especially since she gave birth less than a month ago. But like many others, I was disappointed in the fit of Meghan's gown especially since the dress was custom made for her figure, and it cost as much as my house. The bodice and sleeves were very much off. And when a garment doesn't fit properly, it doesn't matter how beautifully designed it is, it will never look right.

I'd like to respectfully suggest that Meghan learn the technical requirements of a well fitting garment. Meghan has a petite torso and some of her clothes, especially coats, overwhelm her. I think that the Queen's personal designer Angela Kelly would be an excellent source of information about fit, and I imagine she'd be more than happy to help.

I think Meghan understands the elements of a well-fitting garment; her choices in determining how things fit may not sync up with all of our choices. The Angela Kelly suggestion is always a good one; my guess is that an offer of input from her office was made early on, through whatever channels those messages travel.

I don't think this was a new custom piece. The Duchess has ordered a garment in several colorways before, and I think she just hasn't broken this specific shade out yet. She wore this style postpartum with Charlotte's christening. It's flattering to a recovering body and she only gave birth three or four weeks ago. She must be truly exhausted with two children and a newborn! I also don't think she would have gone with a new outfit because she didn't want any attention directed towards her. And in pictures of her with Princess Charlotte her outfit is in clear contrast. Bright afternoon sun tends to wash colors out. The hue is more noticeable in the church.
