Next, a report that Kate is working with a stylist. This comes via a Grazia story published yesterday, “Kate’s Secret Stylist Is Revealed: Meet Prince George’s Godmother Emilia Jardine-Paterson”. From Lottie Lumsden’s story:

Until little Prince George’s christening at St James’s Palace last week, few had heard of Emilia Jardine-Paterson, his new godmother. Yet Grazia has learned that recently the Duchess of Cambridge’s close friend from Marlborough College has taken on another role too – as Kate’s secret stylist.

There’s really no way to know if Ms. Jardine-Paterson is offering more than the usual input a friend might give, or if she is genuinely working with the Duchess on wardrobe elements. What we have seen thus far isn’t an indicator one way or another – the pieces worn since George’s birth have been in keeping with Kate’s established style. The casual post-birth ensembles all had familiar looks and names: Jenny Packham, Ralph Lauren and Pied a Terre, to name of the brands seen below.

Back to the Grazia story:

It’s understood that interior designer Emilia, 31, who’s been friends with Kate since they were 13, has been responsible for overseeing all of Kate’s public outfits in the last few months, and her style certainly seems to have been rubbing off on Kate.

And the dressier styles seen in the last few months were also created by Kate favorites Jenny Packham (again) and Alexander McQueen, the frocks don’t appear any different from what one might expect to see the Duchess wearing.

Ms. Jardine-Paterson’s history with William and Kate goes back decades; it is thought she may also be assisting the couple with the redecoration of their Kensington Palace living quarters.  You can read the entire story here.

Our next topic involves Kate’s jewelry. Many of you have commented, messaged, or emailed to ask about specific pieces we have seen Kate wearing.  Most recently the inquiries have been about a wristwatch the Duchess has been sporting more frequently. With thanks to Nancy and Brigitta for the identification, as well as Anna of My Small Obsessions for sharing their information, it looks like the mystery may have been solved.

The brand shown is Tissot, a Swiss firm founded in 1853 that is now part of the Swatch conglomerate.

Another piece generating substantial conversation is the necklace Kate was wearing when out shopping at Zara Home last week, a new piece for the Duchess. The necklace has what appears to be three different charms, including one shaped like a little boy, a circular disc and perhaps a tiny heart. For the best closeup view of the necklace, click here to visit My Small Obsessions. The aforementioned Anna, and Ayvee of Dianas Jewels (she is also *very* knowledgeable about Kate’s jewelry) haven’t come up with an identification. We’ll update when we know more about the necklace.

Because of the volume of inquiries about jewelry we will be adding a tab up above by the “Favorite Brands” tabs with a permanent page dedicated to Kate’s jewelry.

In a restocking update, Temperley has multiple sizes and colors available in its popular Honeycomb line of knitwear. Kate was first seen wearing the sweater in ivory in December of 2011 and the black in March of this year when on the ski slopes in Switzerland. We include the blue to show the shorter version of the garment.

It is believed the Duchess was in the shorter style in 2011 and the longer version when in the Alps this year, but I cannot vouch 100% as to precisely what style she had on; both times they were topped by her LK Bennett Darwin jacket. Here we show the Tunic Length in ivory.

Thanks for more updates -- you've been busy! I thought I'd noticed a better quality of styling from Kate later in her pregnancy but put it down to her having more staff around her at KP and leaving her time to make more considered choices. It was at the beginning of the pregnancy things went a little strange when normal clothes were being asked to stretch that bit more.

But I'd agree that her choices have remained firmly in a consistent style throughout and that unofficial input from a friend is more likely than an official appointment. I had feared that post-birth Kate might have had her hands too full to think much about clothes, but so far her official outfits have continued with the welcome improvement noted before George arrived. Her casual outfits have been just that, and I don't know that they need to be judged by the same criteria -- a girl's entitled to down-time, after all.

I like seeing more of that Honeycomb jumper and like AshleyOlivia find myself better able to appreciate the detail. It's not a choice I myself might make, the cuffs and collar are a little too heavy for me. but I think it's a great style and the kind of thing that Kate wears well.

Love that blue jumper...Kate really likes that style, apparently. She had a baby pink one from pre-royal days which I liked very much as well.
