We are back with results from the various Tour polls we did, along with a few more updates.
We start with the two dress questions, you may recall we broke this into two parts, those dresses worn to the less formal functions and those we dubbed the party frocks,” pieces Kate wore at evening and invitation-only events.
First, the pieces seen at the not-quite-as-dressy events. There were 7958 individual votes cast, the dress you selected as your favorite is this Jenny Packham, worn for the “couple’s arrival in Singapore and trip to the Botanic Gardens.
This was a tight vote with the white McQueen suit running a close second, better seen below in the bar graph with results showing the top 5 choices.
Our second dress poll involved those dressier styles from the Tour. There were no surprises, after 8,489 votes the winner is Kate’s Temperley dress, seen at the tea held at the British High Commissioner’s residence in Kuala Lumpur.
The results were fairly definitive in this poll with a solid margin between the Temperley and the second choice piece.
We move to accessories now, beginning with your favorite pair of shoes from the Tour: you chose the Jimmy Choo ‘Dart’ heels that accessorized Kate’s bespoke McQueen dress at the Malaysia State Dinner.
And the results.
When it came to the bags Kate carried during the trip, the favorite stood out clearly, the black Longchamp Le Pliage tote in the medium, with shorter handles.
Fewer votes were made in the accessory polls, 3570 took part in the handbag voting, here are the top three results.
The jewelry options encompassed a broad range of styles and prices, from glittering precious gems to gold plated pieces. Your favorite? The “Unknown Prong Set Bluish-Green Stone Drop Earrings” took first place.
And our final Tour poll involved more unorthodox choices, we sought your opinion on several non-standard accessories. Once again, the results were not surprising.
With 3429 unique votes, the #1 choice by a wide margin were the faux pearl accessories Kate used to style her updo with the blue Temperley dress.
Many thanks to everyone who took part in these. While non-scientific they *are* fun, it’s always fascinating to see how personal preferences stack up against popular opinion.

Also today, the lucky winners of our “A Royal Pain” book giveaway, the almost-published novel by author (and friend) Megan Mulry. Initially we were just giving away my ARC (Advanced Readers Copy), but Megan has been extremely generous, and is adding three actual copies of the book to the stash, so we have four winners. The first name is for the ARC, and the other three will receive the book in its final version.
1) Shannon in Australia
2) Jessica Lynne
3) Anna Marie
4) Mandy (Email begins with mcmc)
If all four could email me (Susan @ WhatKateWore.com) we’ll sort out details to get your goodies to you. Many, many thanks to Megan for being such a delight to work with!
